You will also need an HTML editor to create the squeeze page where you’ll be generating leads. Free WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editors are available. Two that come to mind are Kompozer and Coffee Cup. Either of those work much like word processors in that you can see what you’re creating, without having to worry about coding any HTML.
Something that will boost your optin rate is an “ethical bribe.” This is some kind of giveaway that you can offer folks in exchange for their information. For example, let’s say you interviewed an expert in your niche. Great giveaway! Or, maybe you created a video showing people how to do something related to your niche. Also killer! Whatever you decide, be sure that it’s quality or the people who sign up to get it will be disappointed and unsubscribe from your list. That will hurt your reputation right off the bat, so be sure that you’re offering something really great.
After your ethical bribe is figured out and your squeeze page is uploaded to your hosting account, the last piece of the puzzle is traffic. If you don’t have anyone coming to your page to consider your offer, your list generation efforts will be in the dumpster.
